What's included in a metallic epoxy installation
More of this job is preparation than pouring. The decorative step is one day out of three or four.
1. Design consultation and sample review
Color direction comes first: base tone, one or two accent metallics, how much movement you want, and how the room is lit. 6. Clear topcoats

7. Cure and care handover

Four things are worth understanding before you sign, because they are characteristics of the system rather than problems with an install:
Every metallic floor is hand-worked, one time, in one set of conditions. A sample or a reference image sets direction — palette, contrast, how much movement — not a pattern to be reproduced. Variation is the product, not a defect.
A mirror finish reflects dust, footprints, and every imperfection in the slab beneath it. That is the cost of the look. A satin topcoat is calmer and more forgiving day to day.
A damaged section of metallic cannot be spot-patched invisibly the way flake can, because the pattern is continuous and unique. Plan around the floor accordingly.
